Banan'd

A GIF maker that runs on your phone. Pick a video, trim and crop it, and save the GIF.

What you can do with it:

• Trim to the exact moment you want
• Crop to square, portrait, or landscape — or freely
• Choose the resolution and frame rate
• Speed it up or slow it down
• Play it in reverse, or ping-pong back and forth
• Set it to loop forever, or a fixed number of times
• Convert several clips in one go

Data we collect. None. Banan'd, published by Dead Bulb Studio, does not access, collect, use, or share any personal or sensitive user data.

Your files. Videos you select and GIFs you create are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded, and we never see, receive, or store them.

Permissions. Banan'd asks only for what it needs to do the job:

• Photos and videos — to read the clip you choose, and to save the finished GIF back to your device.

Permissions are used at the moment you use the feature and for nothing else. You can revoke them any time in your device settings.

Data retention and deletion. We hold nothing, so there is nothing on our side to retain or delete, and no account to close. Your settings and GIFs live on your device. Uninstalling the app removes its own data; anything you saved to your gallery stays yours to keep or delete.

Data security. Nothing is sent over a network, so there is no data in transit and no copy on a server. Your files stay behind your device's own storage permissions.

Purchases. Any purchase is handled entirely by Google Play under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.

Third parties. No ad networks, no analytics providers, no tracking of any kind, and no data shared with anyone.

Children. Banan'd isn't directed at children under 13, and since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children.

Changes. Any update to this policy will be posted here with a new date.

Banan'd uses the following open source software.

FFmpeg. Video decoding and GIF encoding are handled by FFmpeg 7.1, used under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later. FFmpeg is bundled as a standalone executable and run as a separate process; its source is unmodified, and no GPL-licensed components are enabled in this build.

FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project. The project and its source are at ffmpeg.org, and the license text is at gnu.org.
